Design Studio V - the Hidden Barn Collection


Placing an order using our shop on line: placing an order at Design Studio V's Furniture Collection is easy. Just browse through our range of products and select the item(s) you wish to buy and add to your shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on "checkout". You will then be asked to provide a few details that we need to fulfil your order efficiently.

Ofcourse you can also place an order by telephone contact, email contact or face to face consultations.

Once you've placed your order you have made an offer to buy goods at the stated price on that day.  We will send you an email or letter to confirm that we have received your order, which will also be the point of contract between us.

Product Information: We take the utmost care to ensure that the product information and images are as accurate as possible. Due to the photographic process and the discrepancies between computers' hardware/software, the products may not be exactly as shown.  Many of our items ar not mass-produced and are handmade, handfinished or are made from natural materials. Slight variations in colour, finish and dimensions may occur. We hope you'll appreciate the craftmanship required to make high quality and individual products. All our products are subject to availability.  

Price & Payment Methods : You must pay us the stated price  plus the delivery charges if applicatie of your order before we will send any part of it. You can pay using your credit or debit card online and pay by online banking; or by using Paypal, which is being processed by a secure online payment processor. This is a secure and easy payment method and you don't need to be a Paypal member to make a payment for an item of our Collection.  Or you can use your Paypal balance if you have a Paypal account. Payment can also be made by transfer on line / online banking. Please contact us if you wish to do so.  Payment can also be made by a cheque drawn on a UK bank, in which case the purchased item can only be dispatched after clearance of the cheque. Please make cheques payable to  Veltink/Design Studio V.

When placing an order we require your name, email address, full telephone number and delivery address.  After payment of your order you will receive confirmation via email.

Delivery Timescales:  Our aim is to dispatch your order as promptly as possible after receipt of payment. If in stock, this is normally within 2 - 6 working days or 2-4 weeks for larger/heavy goods items. If, for any reason, this is not possible we will contact you to inform you when you can expect delivery.  In case the item you ordered is not in stock, we will put your order on back order and will let you know straight away when you can expect delivery. We are proud to offer you a collection of mainly not mass-produced prouducts which are often hand made and hand finished to achieve good quality and a unique character.  This subsequently means that some products may have a delivery lead time of 2-6 weeks. For bespoke products please allow 6-10 weeks delivery time. We will do our utmost to deliver as soon as possible, but reserve the right to extend delivery lead times. We will inform you as soon as possible when you can expect delivery of the purchase.

Delivery Method: Delivery  is made by carrier or by standard postage to mainland England and Wales and to the address stipulated in your order. We cannot provide a specified time on the day of delivery.  The carrier delivers only to your front door at ground level and will not place or assemble your purchase. Goods must be checked upon arrival and any discrepancies recorded at the time of delivery. Please ensure that the item(s) your order will be able to pass freely through doorways, passageways, staircases etc.

Delivery charges : Standard Postage: delivery of products up to 2 kg: £ 5.95. Heavier weight products: delivery of products of upto 15 kg: £ 14.95.  Delivery of products of 15 - 100 kg: £ 39.95. Delivery of prouducts over 100 kg:  £ 49.95 . Exceptionally heavy goods: delivery charge £ 85.00

Returns Policy : We hope that you are happy with your purchase and we take great care in checking all items on their quality and appropriate packaging before being dispatched.

However, if you receive your item and it is faulty or damaged due to transport, please contact us immediately at the time of the delivery by email or by phone and provide by email a picture and your written recording of the discrepancies, taken on the day of delivery to let us know the extent of the damage of the product and/or packaging within 24 hours.  We will then contact you to arrange return of the faulty or transit damaged goods. We will offer a replacement of  the faulty item or refund the purchase price if the item is discontinued.

We hope your will love your Design Studio V purchase, but if you're not entirely satisfied, please let us know within 7 days by email of your intention to return the product(s). We ask you to return the product(s) unused, in their original and undamaged packaging. You will be entitled to a refund or replacement if returned products reach us within 28 days. We can only give you a refund  if the product is returned to us unused, in perfect order, securely wrapped and in its original, undamaged packaging with the invoice enclosed. Please note that we do not refund the delivery cost or the costs for returns. For our contact and address details please view the Contact Page.  After we have received the goods, we will arrange the dispatch of the replacement or give you a refund. 

Products that have been purchased after face to face communications and/or after specific and customised requests can be returned within 7 days of purchase after written notification within 24 hours of receipt of goods and returned unused and in the original and undamaged packaging. We will offer a replacement, or give you a Design Studio V voucher with the value of the original purchase price (exluding the delivery cost or returns cost).

We cannot accept returns or give a refund or voucher on bespoke and made to order products. We cannot accept returns or give a refund or voucher on purchases as part of design assignments and after clients' acceptance of the design(s), as the items within the designs have been discussed to great detail and have been accepted as part of the design(s).

The returns and refund policy is not applicable to business to business orders or purchases from outside the uk mainland.

Cancellation of order : If you decide to cancel your order you must do so by email within 24 hours after placement of the order and a full refund will be credited.  If you cancel your order after it has been processed and/or dispatched, please follow the procedure set out in the returns policy.

Design Services: our design service offers clients professional and creative design concepts and/or consultancy. Part of good design solutions is the "behind the scenes" work to thoroughly research appropriate solutions, materials and goods. To enjoy well executed design with an optimum result we highly recommend to follow it through and use our ordering & supply service. After client's approval of the goods listing, ordering and delivery is facilitated by pro forma invoice. 

Additional design service terms for spatial design, interior design and outdoor spaces/garden design: the client is liable at all times for the execution of the work at their premises, whether rented or in ownership. The client is liable at all times for any existing structural problems or structural changes as suggested by our designs. Before executing any structural change(s), it is the clients ' responsibility to have the plans assessed by a structural engineer or other appropriate professional. This is charged separately. Other services needed by other specialists such as decorators, plumbers, electricians, general builder, landscapers, etc. are charged separately. The execution of their work/services is at client's risk. The design process:  during the design process we collaborate closely with our client and we do our utmost to design with excellent results and to meet your expectations.  To facilitate presentation of the design idea(s) and concept(s), payment of pro forma invoice is required. During presentation and evaluation of the design idea(s) and design concept(s) you can express any wishes for an amendment without extra charge. After evaluation the final plans will then be drawn and presented to the client.
