We make every effort to represent the colours appropriately. Please note that the images shown on our website are subject to variations between computer, table and mobile phone screens and quality, settings and browsers. Colours shown on our website are displayed as guide only. We are not responsible for any colour choice made based off this information.
We always recommend to use the physical colour chart, single swatches or sample pots before purchasing larger quantities.
Although our colour tinting process optimises the consistency of colour, differences within batch tolerance may occur.
Pure & Original paint is produced to the highest standards using natural materials. Colour depth variation is subject to the type of Pure & Original paint and its components, and is subject to individual application methods used.
Always order sufficient paint to complete a job thus avoiding the possibility of batch variations, and allow for ample time between your order placement and when you think you'll need the paint.

If in doubt please contact us. Due to the nature of the artisan and natural origins of the products, components and pigments may separate. This is normal and stirring well mixes the components again. Always stir the paint well before use and application. Always stir paint together from several tins and of the same paint-type and colour to ensure optimised colour consistency. Always check the correct use of products and the colour of the paint before application. We are not liable for any cost incurred as a result of application or surface conditions and preparation. Not every type of surface with its appropriate preparation can be included in the information given on the product packaging, brochures, website and other information tools. The execution of preparation, application and the selection of colours and use of products is the sole responsibility of the customer, since this is beyond our control. If you wish to store your purchase: keep it in its original packaging, unopened and store in dry and frost free conditions (5-25˚Celsius). Can be stored 10-12 months.
Important: We do everything we can to meet the delivery lead times but these lead times cannot be guaranteed. Therefore we recommend not to arrange for labour to apply the products until they are in your possession. We cannot be held responsible should labour have to be re-scheduled because our goods are not present at your home or project-site.
Placing an order, dispatch and delivery
PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO SIGNIFICANT DISRUPTIONS SURROUNDING THE COVID-PANDEMIC AND BREXIT, ITEMS OF YOUR ORDER MAY BE SUBJECT TO INCREASED DELIVERY LEAD TIMES. Items marked as "in Stock" upon ordering are available but may have to come from a different location.
Any advice given by us is done to the best of our ability and in good faith, however it is the customer’s responsibility to order the colour, type of product and quantity appropriate to meet ones needs.
Placing your order online is fast and easy, but if you prefer you can send us an email with your order. After receipt of your order and confirmed with payment the order for coloured products cannot be cancelled or refunded since its custom-coloured to your order details. We aim to dispatch your order in 1-5 working days after receipt of payment. Delivery to a UK mainland address within 1-3 working days thereafter. PLEASE NOTE: due to disruptions nationally and internationally caused by the Pandemic and Brexit, the delivery lead times may vary and/or are longer than usual. We cannot be liable for delays in delivery on the rare occasion the courier cannot deliver goods on time caused by situations beyond our control (such as disruptions caused by pandemic (Covid-19) outbreaks, roadworks, break downs, accidents, weather conditions, IT disruptions). Deliveries made by Royal Mail may take several days. Orders placed by email are processed further after receipt of payment.
Working days definition: Monday to Friday weekdays (not included (bank) holidays). Please allow ample time between placing your order and planning your paint project, especially when you need to place orders for large quantities. Contact us if you are unsure about delivery lead times or want our advice when planning your project.
Please ensure a person is present when delivery is expected. If no reply, the courier will return the goods to their depot, leaving a card with details at the delivery address. We are not liable for any additional charges if you wish to make special arrangements with the courier, nor are we liable for any damage or loss when you indicate that goods can be left unattended.
We reserve the right to cancel or not accept your order at any time, or if:
- The item is no longer available
- We or our payment system cannot authorise your payment or have reasonable grounds to suspect your payment is fraudulent
- There is a system failure
- You have failed the customer validation check
- You are sending us a thread or are attempting extortion
- Other, beyond our control
Exclusion of Liability
Any liability for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage incurred by any user in connection with our site or its use, or any websites linked to it.

Returns and Refunds
The coloured paints and primers are bespoke products and are custom-mixed to your specific order. Such orders are exempt from cancellation law and we are unable to accept returns of these customised paints or primers, or accept cancellation.
1. You have the right to return or exchange any unopened, unused and un-tinted primer or sealer or unused tool, provided that you give us written notice by email within 14 working days after receipt of your purchase. To receive a refund goods must be returned undamaged, unopened, unused and in it's original, undamaged packaging and received by us within 28 days after the order date. No refunds are given on delivery charges or return-costs.
2. Return goods to: The House, 19 The Green, Winchmore Hill, London N21 3NL with an accompanying letter of sender's full details, including email address, and reason for return. You must notify us by email to email@example.com You must return the goods sealed and in extra protective packaging to ensure it is returned to us in good condition. You are responsible for loss or damage until we’ve accepted the return and checked its condition. We recommend that you use a secure and tracked shipper and retain proof of sending.
3. Faulty goods: We are proud to pay attention to every order that we process. Every order is double checked (colour, product, etc) before dispatch and we keep a reference of this on our files.
Although it’s unusual, we may have made a mistake or an underlying issue with the product may have slipped our attention.
Where you received goods you suspect are faulty you must notify us straight away or no later than 30 days after the order date. Contact us by email describing the issue accompanied by images clearly showing the issue. This will enable us to assess the issue and to offer you a solution, replacement or arrange a refund if the product is deemed to be of unacceptable standard. Claims are not accepted outside of this time limit.
4. Damaged tins and minor leaks
Denting to tins and minor leaks can occur during transit and doesn’t constitute a faulty product and are excluded from refunds. The paint, primer or sealer can be used as normal.
In case clearly a considerable amount of paint has leaked from the tin due to damage in transit, please notify us by email immediately on the day your delivery is received, accompanied by images to support the claim. Failing to do so will mean we will deem your order to have been delivered with no such issues. Upon receipt of your complaint we’ll asses the situation and make an estimate of the loss of paint after which we may send you replacement paint, or reimburse for the lost paint.
5. We do not give refunds for late or delayed deliveries.
Loyalty Points Scheme
Returning customers are much valued; therefore we offer a free scheme to collect loyalty points when you purchase paint with us, which are redeemable on your paint purchase thereafter (based on minimum of 30 collected points) on our online store only. We reserve the right to change the value of the collected points or end the scheme with no prior notice and points or the value it represents cannot be claimed once the scheme has changed or ended.
