Design Studio V is the official Distributor for Pure & Original paints in the UK. 

The paints and primers are tinted in the Studio based in Somerset (GB), to individual orders placed and are therefore customized products.

Pure & Original paint is produced to the highest standards using natural materials. The colour card shows hand painted Classico Chalk paint colours. Slight colour deviation in our other paint types may occur due to the characteristics of the components used in these paint types and due to individual application methods.

Terms and Conditions

Design Studio V takes great care to serve customers excellent products and technical support. We also take care to ensure that the display and information on our website is as accurate as possible. However we cannot guarantee that images are always a true representation of the products and/or finishes due to the differences in quality of images and computer screens. If in doubt about products or finishes, please contact us to discuss this.
Colour differences may occur between the various paint products due to the nature of the natural components of the products. The colours of the Colour Chart are real painted colours in Classico chalk paint. If in doubt or want to double check when choosing colours, you can order testers in Classico or Fresco paint by request.

We advice you to inform yourself about the products before you order any products or apply the products. If in doubt please contact us with your query. Due to the nature of the artisan and natural origins of the products, components and pigments may separate after a while. This is normal and stirring well mixes the components again. Always stir the paint well before use and application. Always check the correct use of products and the colour of the paint before application as we will not be liable for any cost incurred as a result of incorrect application. Not every type of surface with its appropriate preparation can be included in the information given on the product packaging, brochures, website and other information tools. The execution of preparation, application and the selection of colours and use of products is the sole responsibility of the customer, since this is beyond our control. If you wish to store your purchase: keep it in its original packaging, unopened and store in dry and frost free conditions (5-25˚Celsius). Can be stored 10-12 months.

Placing an order, dispatch and delivery:
Placing your order online is fast and easy, but if you prefer you can send us an email with your order. After receipt of your order and receipt of payment we’ll confirm this and your order will be processed further and prepared for dispatch. Dispatch is normally within 2-4 working days after receipt of payment. If for any reason your order cannot be prepared from stock levels it will be processed as backorder and we will update you with a new dispatch lead time. Delivery after dispatch date is normally the next working day by our trusted courier. We cannot be liable for delays in delivery on the rare occasion the courier cannot deliver goods on time caused by situations beyond our and their control (such as disruptions caused by pandemic (Covid-19) outbreaks, roadworks, break downs, accidents, weather conditions). Deliveries made by Royal Mail may take several days. Paint will not be tinted and goods not dispatched if payment is not received.

Working days definition: Monday to Friday weekdays (not included (bank) holidays). For example: if dispatch of goods is scheduled to be on a Friday, you can expect delivery on the Monday following. Please allow ample time between placing your order and planning your paint project, especially when you need to place orders for large quantities. Contact us if you are unsure about delivery lead times or want our advice when planning your project.

Please ensure a person is present when delivery is expected. If no reply, the courier will return the goods to their depot, leaving a card with details at the delivery address. We are not liable for any additional charges if you wish to make special arrangements with the courier, nor are we liable for any damage or loss when you indicate that goods can be left unattended.  

We reserve the right to cancel or not accept your order at any time, or if:

  1. The item is no longer available
  2. We or our payment system cannot authorise your payment or have reasonable grounds to suspect your payment is fraudulent
  3. There is a system failure
  4. You have failed the customer validation check
  5. Other, beyond our control

Returns and Refunds:
Pure & Original paints and prep products are tinted to your specific order in our Studio and are therefore customised products. This product supply service is completed following the customer’s specific order accompanied by payment with effect that the order cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded.
Products other than the customised products: standard regulations apply and can therefore be subject to a refund. Notify us by email within 7 days after receipt of your purchase. To receive a refund goods must be returned undamaged, unused and in it's original, undamaged packaging. No refunds are given on delivery charges or return-costs. Return goods to: Design Studio V, Unit 6 Barle Entreprise Centre, Dulverton, Somerset TA22 9BF with an accompanying letter of sender's full details, including email address, and reason for return.  
Any advice given by us is done to the best of our ability and in good faith, however it is the customer’s responsibility to order the colour, type of product and quantity appropriate to meet ones needs.

Loyalty Points Scheme: our returning customers are much valued; therefore we offer a free scheme to collect loyalty points when you purchase paint with us, which are redeemable on your paint purchase thereafter (based on minimum of 30 collected points). We reserve the right to change the value of the collected points or end the scheme with no prior notice and points or the value it represents cannot be claimed once the scheme has changed or ended.   

Newsletters: As our customer you have given us your email address; you may receive our occasional newsletter to keep you updated with changes, relevant information or news we feel may be important to you. Should you not want to receive the newsletters you can subscribe at any time or send an email to let us know. Your email contact details are not shared with third parties.
